Connemarra is to the north of Galway, it is a beautiful landscape, it is barren compared to other parts of Ireland it is rugged, rough and brash like a local rugby player. But, covered by rolling hills interspersed with craggy ranges, flowing streams and rivers and the home of the second largest Lough in Lough Carrib it is a captivating environment. Let's visit.
If you have seen the movie "The Quiet Man" then you will know this bridge where John Wayne sang (in an Irish accent) |
The beautiful locals |
Then back to Galway for some sunshine and tart |
Maybe a Joyce rated pub..... |
Pint of black, don't mind if I do. |
And a random castle. |
